September 4-27

(Closed Tuesdays & September 9)

Puyallup hosts the largest fair in the Pacific Northwest at the Washington State Fairgrounds, 110 9th Ave. SW. The event dates back to 1900 and welcomes more than a million visitors each September. Twenty operating days of exhibits, rides, food vendors, agricultural displays and animal competitions fill the grounds.

The Puyallup Rodeo returns September 10 through 13 with five performances featuring eight PRCA events. The Columbia Bank Concert Series brings a rotating lineup of performers to the Grandstand, with same-day fair admission included in each concert ticket.

Local 4-H and FFA exhibitors compete throughout the fair, with different animals and competitions scheduled during designated portions of the event. Commercial vendors, specialty products and fair-food stands can also be found across the grounds.

Kids ages 18 and younger receive free gate admission from September 4 through 7, courtesy of BECU. The fair is closed every Tuesday and on Wednesday, September 9, so visitors should check operating dates and daily hours before attending.

General parking is offered in the Green, Gold, Blue, Purple and Red lots on a space-available basis, with reserved parking also available for purchase.
