Catalyst Medspa: Built on a Plan

Catalyst Medspa begins each relationship with a conversation, not a treatment menu. The Tacoma team takes time to understand what a client notices, what they hope to improve, and how they want to look months or years from now. From there, the team builds a plan that may combine several treatments over time rather than relying on one procedure to do everything.

The name reflects that approach. In chemistry, a catalyst sparks a reaction without dictating the outcome, and the team sees its role the same way, guiding clients toward their own goals rather than a preset formula.

The environment is welcoming and uplifting, grounded in the safety and technology of a modern medical practice. Strong medical backgrounds and rigorous standards establish the foundation. What shapes the patient experience is the team's eye for aesthetics and its understanding of how treatments work together.

Catalyst is physician-led by Dr. Erin Seefeldt, a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon whose training grounds every recommendation in a clear understanding of anatomy and what can realistically be achieved without surgery.

Stephanie Gaston, RN, CNOR, RNFA, Catalyst's Lead Nurse Injector and co-owner, brings more than a decade in aesthetic medicine. Her approach considers facial structure, movement, and balance, not just individual lines, focusing on where subtle adjustments preserve natural expression.

Kate Cashman, LME, CLSO, R-MA, serves as Spa Manager and Lead Master Aesthetician. Her 20-plus years in the industry shape not only which device she recommends, but when to use it and how it fits into a larger plan.

"People don't want to look like they had something done," Dr. Seefeldt says. "They want to look like themselves, just rested and cared for. That takes restraint, training, and a real relationship with your provider, not a rushed drop-down menu of injectables."

That relationship begins with a comprehensive face and body assessment without makeup, allowing the team to evaluate skin and structure without distraction and help clients understand what can realistically be improved.

Depending on the person, a plan may include Botox or Dysport, dermal fillers, Sculptra, Kybella, Morpheus8 RF skin tightening, laser treatments, HydraGlow facials, peptide microneedling, or vitamin injections. The value isn't access to those options. It's knowing how to select, combine, and time them, sometimes recommending less than a client expected.

Safety stays central, with numbing options when appropriate and check-ins that continue after a client leaves the chair. When a treatment isn't appropriate, the team says so.

Clients regularly bring in treatments they have seen online, and the team walks through what each does and whether it fits their anatomy and long-term plan, sometimes steering them away from an unnecessary purchase. Trends may spark ideas, but they do not replace experienced judgment.

Many patients stay for years because the team remembers where they began, understands how their needs have changed, and knows how to adjust and combine treatments as their skin, features, and priorities evolve.

At Catalyst, the patient experience is built on more than credentials or a single appointment. It is built on trust, continuity, medical judgment, injector precision, and a practiced eye for what will look natural now and continue to make sense over time.
